"Act of Valor" the movie without actors

Who haven´t said, watching an action movie, “that would be great if those guys were really soldiers.” Well, it looks like we are going to find out how cool it is with real soldiers.

“Act of Valor,” is a movie without actors and without special effects. The “actors” are real active-duty Navy SEALs. Oh! Another thing, the fire, it is real fire.

The producers and director of the movie went to the studio company with a simple idea, they get in and said we want to do an action movie. The studio said, “ok, no problem,” but like Scott Waugh, one of the producers and directors, say in an interview for Fox News, “We want to use real guys, we want to hire Navy SEALs.” The company said that it was impossible to do that so they decided to do the movie on their own.

Scoot Waugh and Mike “mouse” McCoy produced and directed the movie; it took them 4 years to finish it. The reason why it took so much time? Because the “actors” had to do their jobs….yes, the Navy SEALs were in combat, so the scenes had to be done between combats.

I believe this movie is unprecedented for so many things, but one characteristic of this movie is just incredible. Like Waugh said to the studio company “We don´t want stars, we want heros.”

That is the fact that is incredible, that in this movie there are not stars…..ARE REAL HEROS…REAL U.S. NAVY SEALS

"Acto de valor," es una película sin actores y sin efectos especiales. Los "actores" son comandos SEALs de los Estados Unidos reales en servicio activo. ¡Oh! Otra cosa, el fuego de combate, es fuego real.

Los productores y el director de la película fueron a la compañía de estudio con una idea simple, entraron y digeron que querían hacer una película de acción. El estudio dijo: "OK, no hay problema", pero como Scott Waugh, uno de los productores y directores, dijo en una entrevista para Fox News: "Queremos utilizar tipos reales, queremos contratar Navy SEALs.", La compañía dijo que era imposible hacer eso por lo que ellos decidieron hacer la película por su cuenta.

Scoot Waugh y Mike "mouse" McCoy produjeron y dirigieron la película, les tomó 4 años para terminarla. La razón de por qué se tardó tanto tiempo? Debido a que los "actores" que tenía que hacer su trabajo .... sí, los SEALs de la Marina estaban en el combate, por lo que las escenas tuvieron que ser hecho entre combates.

Creo que esta película no tiene precedentes por muchas cosas, pero una característica de esta película es simplemente increíble. Al igual que Waugh dijo a la compañía de estudio "No queremos estrellas, queremos héroes."

Y ese es el hecho que es increíble, que en esta película no hay estrellas ..... HAY VERDADEROS HEROES ...VERDADEROS COMANDOS SEALs DE LA MARINA DE LOS ESTADOS UNIDOS .

"We don't want to take actions that would contribute to the further militarization of Syria because that could take the country down a dangerous path," White House press secretary Jay Carney told reporters. "But we don't rule out additional measures if the international community should wait too long and not take the kind of action that needs to be taken."

U.S. never talked about arm the Syrians rebels but did it say about “additional measures.” Arab nations like Qatar and United Arab Emirates said that there are possibilities of “military assistance.”

It is a very complex circumstance; the civil-war ghost is haunting. Help the rebels with training and armament could put an end to this situation or it could be the trigger for a civil war.

Other fact, days ago two military ships from Iran arrived to Syria crossing Egyptian waters, with Egypt permission.  One of the ships is a destroyer of the Iran´s Navy and the other is a supply naval ship. According to Iran, these two naval ships were sent to conduct military training with the Syria´s Navy.

This training was singed a year ago, but it raises a lot of question the fact that those trainings have to be made now. When the Arabs are talking about an aid of armament and that the U.S. have not ruled out the idea of military assistance for the rebels.

EE.UU. nunca habló de armar a los rebeldes sirios, pero si dice de "medidas adicionales". Las naciones árabes como Qatar y los Emiratos Árabes Unidos, dijeron que existe la posibilidad de "asistencia militar".

Es una circunstancia muy compleja, y el fantasma de la guerra civil esta asechando. Ayudar a los rebeldes con entrenamiento  y armamento podría poner fin a esta situación, o podría ser el detonante de una guerra civil.

He came into the radar because several investigations conducted by the FBI. The Federals were investigating terrorist suspects. One of them was el-Khalifi, who called the attention of the agents after a conversation he had with an undercover FBI agent. In this conversation he said he had the intention to attack the U.S.

After this, the FBI started to get more in touch with him. FBI agents made him believed they were from Al-Qaeda and introduced him to “Housein,” a member of Al-Qaeda, when actually he was a FBI undercover agent. “Housein introduced el-Khalifi to “Yusuf,” a top member of Al-Qaeda, of course, he was a top federal agent.

The security forced involved wanted to know if el-Khalifi was working alone so they started to arrange meetings with him. Even, Housein, Yusuf and el-Khalifi tested guns and bombs. They discuss what the target was going to be, a restaurant in Washington were U.S. generals and admirals used to go, some federal buildings, but they decided that the best target was going to be the Capitol.

They prepared the attack, el-Khalifi was going to break through the security of the Capitol with a gun, killing the first guards and then once inside he will detonate the bomb on his vest. He even said to Housein to install a remote control in the vest, so, if he was captured, Housein was going to be able to set the bomb off.

The idea was at least, kill 30 people.

Amine el Khalifi, 29, was captured when he was heading to the Capitol with a inoperative gun and a vest with, what he though, it was a vest with explosives. There were no explosives in the vest and the gun was useless and the public was never put in danger.

No details of the investigation were giving but apparently Amine el-Khalifi  was working alone.

The police informed that "several pill bottles" were found in the room but no alcohol.
Family members of the multi-winner´s Grammys said that she was taken Xanax. It is a drug generally prescripted to treat anxiety. When this pills are mixed with alcohol, they cause drowsiness.

Thursday at 6:30 am ET the US Army tested a hypersonic weapon prototype that crossed the Pacific Ocean several times at hypersonic speed or 6.124 km/h. The fact that a missile can achieve this velocity means that it can strike any target in any place of the world in no more than an hour

This prototype was lunched from the Pacific Missile Range Facility on the island of Kauai in Hawaii.

On the other, hand the Air Force on June 13 tested already its own X-51A Waveride Vehicle and now with this new weapon the Army has tested with success, the DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Project Agency) shows that it´s not a waste-of-money agency and it consolidates as a Agency that it´s developing useful weapons and military devices.

Entretainment-So… Are you an action movie fan? Are you an action hero fan? Ok, GOOD NEWS…..John McLain and Ethan Hunt are coming back. The new dad on the block, a shaved dad, will revive once again Dte. McLain in the new movie of the Die Hard saga, in “Good Day to Die Hard”.

Willis will be having his first baby with his wife after having three kids with ex-wife Demi Moore.

Meanwhile, Tom Cruise is in full-action on his new mission of the MIF, this time called Mission: Impossible-Ghost Protocol.

It looks like this time they are putting all the eggs in the basket with the action stunts and the incredible location like Burj Khalifa and Dubai, just to mention some.

Helping Agent Hunt will return Simon Pegg as Bengi with all his gadgets that all spy needs and adding some glamour will be Paula Patton, meanwhile Jeremy Renner will be playing the new mysterious Agent.

Apparently there are rumors that Renner will continue the Mission Impossible franchise after Cruise.

Like the director, Brad Bird said, “This is just another day at work on ‘Mission Impossible.’”

 Tech- Remember the movie A.I. (Artificial Intelligence), remember the movie I, Robot where Will Smith had to disconnect a virtual brain? You may be wondering why I'm talking about films and artificial intelligence, is because I believe that Apple (probably with help from someone who was very intelligent) has created, literally, an Artificial Intelligence called Siri.

 There was a huge expectation for the launch of the iPhone 4S, there were even rumors of a disappointment in some applications not working properly but the launch was just extraordinary, why? Just because the new iPhone comes with a voice assistant with artificial intelligence.
Siri is a virtual assistant with female voice that can recognize  voice commands, i.e., it can perform tasks given by voice can answer questions too, and last but not least there is still more surprising: It has sense of humor!!
This is very difficult to understand, probably an example make it easier.

-Siri: Hope you do not say the same to other phones

Siri "allows the user to send voice messages, make appointments or making calls," say the creators
"Siri will not only understand what he says but what he means. Even answer" and "does what she is told and find information you need," Apple said in an article on your site

Siri es un asistente virtual de voz femenina que puede reconocer comandos por voz, es decir, que puede cumplir tareas dichas por voz pero no solo esto sino que hasta responde preguntas y como si fuera poco todavía queda lo más sorprendente: Tiene sentido del humor!!!!

Esto es muy difícil de entender, probablemente atreves de un ejemplo será más fácil.

 Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana decided to focus on their first line.

 Dolce&Gabbana so they chose to show the last collection of their second line, D&G, in the Milan fashion week.

 The designers said in a press communicate, released by Vogue Magazine,  that the reason for this last D&G collection, “ responds to the yearn of Dominico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana to come back to their origins and renew their ideas, plus, to try to inject the youth and the fresh of D&G to the first collection”.

 They also want to focus in other projects like publish in Vogue, “the pace that is adopted the fashion world, every time is more fast and empty of content”

  Domenico Dolce y Stefano Gabbana decidieron centrarse en su primera línea Dolce & Gabbana por lo que optó por mostrar la última colección de su segunda marca, D&G, en la Semana de la Moda de Milán.

  Los diseñadores, dijeron en un comunicado de prensa, publicado por la revista Vogue, que la razón de esta última colección de D&G, " responde a las ganas de Dominico Dolce y Stefano Gabbana para volver a sus orígenes y renovar sus ideas, además, para tratar de inyectar a los jóvenes y la frescura de D&G a la primera colección”.

  También quieren concentrarse en otros proyectos como publicar en la revista Vogue, "el ritmo que está adoptando el mundo de la moda, cada vez es más rápido y vacío de contenido"

Science- What if I tell you that this scene from Star Wars can be true? What if I tell you that a planet with a blue sun and another red like the one where a bunch of people, one of them Vin Diesel, a serial killer that could see in the night, landed in Black Pitch can be true?

  NASA and the SETI (Search Extraterrestrial Intelligence Institute) have found a planet with TWO SUNS. The new planet was called Kepler-16b, but everybody called it Tatooine, just like the planet that George Lucas imagined for Luke Skywalker´s home.

This two-sun planet is in the constellation Cygnus about 200 light years from Earth, (the closest star to Earth outside Solar System is 4 light years away)

The discovery was using the NASA´s $600 million Kepler telescope, now orbiting the sun, a team lead by SETI´s Laurence Doyle detected a shadow of a planet crossing two suns.

  “When we first discovered it…I sent a message. “Hey, you know guys, we should ask George Lucas if we can nickname this guy Tatooine” said Doyle. He also said that for a person standing on the surface of the real Tatooine one of the suns would look red and the other orange.

  Are you a romantic person who likes to watch the sunset with its girl or boy next to it? Ok, this will interest you. According to Doyle the sunsets are one of the kind, because there aren´t two the same, this is because the suns sometimes will be apart, sometimes will be eclipsed, or the red will go down first or the orange first, that´s why the sunset probably would be unimaginable, even for George Lucas.

Ciencia-¿Qué pasaría si te digo que esta escena de Star Wars puede ser verdad? ¿Qué pasaría si te digo que un planeta con un sol azul y otro rojo como en el que un grupo de personas, uno de ellos Vin Diesel, un asesino en serie que puede ver en la noche, aterrizó en Pitch Negro puede ser verdad?

  La NASA y el SETI (Instituto de Búsqueda de Inteligencia Extraterrestre) han descubierto un planeta con dos soles. El nuevo planeta se llama Kepler-16b, pero todo el mundo lo llamó Tatooine, al igual que el planeta que George Lucas imaginó para el hogar de Luke Skywalker.

Este planeta de dos soles se encuentra en la constelación del Cisne a unos 200 años luz de la Tierra, (la estrella más cercana a la Tierra fuera del Sistema Solar es de 4 años luz de distancia)

El descubrimiento fue usando el telescopio Kepler de u$s 600 millones de la NASA, ahora en órbita alrededor del sol, un equipo dirigido por Laurence Doyle de SETI detectó una sombra de un planeta cruzando dos soles.

  "La primera vez que lo descubrimos... Envié un mensaje. "Hey, ¿saben que chicos, hay que preguntarle a George Lucas si podemos apodar a este chico Tatooine?", dijo Doyle. También dijo que para que una persona en la superficie del Tatooine real, uno de los soles se vería de color rojo y el otro de color naranja.

De acuerdo con Doyle las puestas de sol son únicas, porque no hay dos iguales, esto se debe a que a veces los soles están distantes, a veces están eclipsados, o el de color rojo se ocultara primero o a veces el naranja lo hará primero, es por esto que probablemente las puestas de sol son inimaginables, incluso para George Lucas.
